EDGECAST
BROADCASTING FROM THE EDGE.
FOR PEOPLE ON THE EDGE.
WHAT IT IS
An edgecast is a broadcast - as audio and/or video - of conversations, interviews, and other material from the edges of modern culture for Edgeworkers.
Podcasting is for modern culture. Edgecasting is for Next Culture: Archiarchy.
The word podcast is derived from a combination of two words. iPod and Broadcast.
When the term was coined most people were using Apple’s iPod to listen to podcasts. So when the word podcasting was suggested to describe the new method of delivering content, the term stuck.
Well, times are changing. Next culture, the culture that comes after Matriarchy and Patriarchy, starts beyond the edge of modern culture. Next culture is created by Edgeworkers. An Edgeworker is at the edge of modern culture. She feels her pain of that old culture, which is bigger than her fear of the unknown as she looks ahead
into next culture.Edgecasts are broadcasts from Edgeworkers, about Edgeworkers, for Edgeworkers, about the edge. They are for people at the edge of modern culture, or hungry for the edge. Edgecasts are bridges.
